Indi Nandhra’s journey into franchising began after a corporate stint at AT&T and a desire to escape the rigid 9 to 5 schedule. Motivated by her young family, she ventured into early childhood education, opening her first Goddard School franchise in Georgia in 1999. Despite initial struggles, Indi grew into a successful multi-unit franchisee over the next decades. Currently, she co-owns multiple Mathnasium franchise locations with her son, bringing a family-oriented approach to her business endeavors. Her hands-on experience taught her the importance of following established models and highlighted gaps in franchisor support. In 2017, seeking to understand the franchisor perspective, she joined the IFA’s CFE program. Reconnecting with Todd Houghton, Indi’s mentorship and insights from a franchisee’s viewpoint became invaluable in their collaborative efforts to enhance franchisee support and success.

Todd Houghton’s passion for franchising ignited in the seventh grade through his family’s cookie franchise. After graduating college, Todd began his career in franchise support and relations, which paved the way for his progression to several key leadership roles, including President and President of Operations across various sectors such as food, children’s services, pet care, and senior care. Transitioning to the franchisor side, Todd dedicated his career to refining franchise systems and processes. His deep expertise helps organizations grow sustainably and turn around struggling franchises. Known for his strategic foresight, Todd has developed platforms for open communication, aiding franchisors and franchisees in navigating their challenges. His collaboration with Indi Nandhra leverages their combined experiences to provide comprehensive support, ensuring franchisees thrive in their entrepreneurial journeys and franchisors achieve growth.

Doc Cohen, a seasoned and respected franchise executive, founded Deblan Corporation and Cookie Associates, transforming them into leading franchisees of the Great American Cookie Company (GACC). With a background in pharmacy and law, Doc developed 35 GACC units across seven states, operating top-performing stores. He has held numerous leadership roles within the IFA, including Chair of the Board of Directors and the first franchisee inducted into the IFA Hall of Fame. His extensive experience and contributions to the franchise industry have earned him numerous accolades and recognition.

Shawn Goldsmith, a serial entrepreneur with a BS and MBA from Cornell University, is known for his strategic leadership in franchise development. As Chair of the CFE Executive Board and an active member of the International Franchise Association, Shawn brings extensive expertise to FFE. He founded Markarie, a franchise development agency, and co-founded Uva Vault, a blockchain marketplace. His early entrepreneurial spirit as an Eagle Scout fuels his diverse interests, including amateur boxing and Ancient Roman research, where he has made significant contributions.

Duane Priddy, founder and president of Impact.app, brings over 30 years of experience in innovation and technology. His expertise encompasses marketing, sales, research, and internet technology, working with Fortune 100 companies and startups globally. Duane holds a Ph.D. in Organic Polymer Chemistry from Virginia Tech, has authored eight patents, and published 25 scientific papers. Passionate about mentoring, he serves on the boards of three nonprofits.
